Tigrinyaትንቢት ዮናስ 2

¹እግዚኣብሄር ንዮናስ ዚውሕጥ ዓብዪ ዓሳ ኣዳለወ። ዮናስ ከኣ ኣብ ከብዲ ዓሳ ሰለስተ መዓልትን ሰለስተ ለይትን ገበረ።

²ዮናስ ኣብ ከብዲ ዓሳ ዀይኑ ናብ እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኹ ጸለየ።

³በለ ድማ፣ ካብ መከራይ እተላዕለ ናብ እግዚኣብሄር ኣእዌኹ፣ ንሱ ኸኣ መለሰለይ። ኣብ ከብዲ ሲኦል ኰይነ ኣእዌኹ፣ ንስኻውን ድምጸይ ሰማዕካ።

⁴ንስኻ ናብቲ መዓሙቝ፣ ናብ ልቢ ባሕሪ፣ ደርቤኻኒ፣ ወሓይዝ ከበበኒ፣ ኵሉ ማዕበልካን ሞገድካን ብልዕለይ ሐለፈ

⁵ኣነ ኸኣ በልኩ፣ ካብ ቅድሚ ኣዒንትኻ ተሰጐጕኩ፣ ግናኸ ናብ ቅዱስ መቕደስካ መሊሰ ኽጥምት እየ።

⁶ማያት ክሳዕ ነፍሰይ ከበበኒ፣ መዓሙቝ ኣብ ዙርያይ ነበረል ክሳዕ ባሕሪ ኣብ ርእሰይ ተጠምጠመ።

⁷ናብ መሰረት ኣኽራን ወረድኩ፣ መሃርሃሪታት ምድሪ ንሓዋሩ ኣብ ልዕለይ ኰነ፣ ግናኸ ንስኻ፣ ዎ እግዚኣብሄር ኣምላኸይ፣ ንህይወተይ ካብ ጕድጓድ ኣውጻእካያ።

⁸ነፍሰይ ኣብ ውሽጠይ ምስ ኣሕለለወት፣ ንእግዚኣብሄር ዘከርክዎ፣ ጸሎተይ ናባኻ፣ ናብቲ ቅዱስ መቕደስካ ኣተወ።

⁹እቶም ናብ ሓሰውቲ ኸንቱነት ዜድህቡ፣ ጸጋኦም ይሐድጉ።

¹⁰እግዚኣብሄር ነቲ ዓሳ ኣዘዞ፣ ንሱውን ንዮናስ ናብ ንቑጽ ምድሪ ተፍኦ።

Amharicዮናስ 2

¹እግዚአብሔርም ዮናስን የሚውጥ ታላቅ ዓሣ አሰናዳ፤ ዮናስም ሦስት ቀንና ሦስት ሌሊት በዓሣው ሆድ ውስጥ ነበረ።

²ዮናስም በዓሣው ሆድ ውስጥ ሆኖ ወደ አምላኩ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ጸለየ፥ እንዲህም አለ።

³በመከራዬ ሳለሁ ወደ አምላኬ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ጮኽሁ፥ እርሱም ሰማኝ፤ በሲኦልም ሆድ ውስጥ ሆኜ ጮኽሁ፥ ቃሌንም አዳመጥህ።

⁴ወደ ጥልቁ ወደ ባሕሩ ውስጥ ጣልኸኝ፥ ፈሳሾችም በዙሪያዬ ነበሩ፤ ማዕበልህና ሞገድህ ሁሉ በላዬ አለፉ።

⁵እኔም። ከዓይንህ ፊት ተጣልሁ፤ ነገር ግን ወደ ቅዱስ መቅደስህ ደግሞ እመለከታለሁ አልሁ።

⁶ውኆችም እስከ ነፍሴ ድረስ ከበቡኝ፤ ጥልቁ ባሕር በዙሪያዬ ነበረ፤ የባሕሩ ሣር በራሴ ተጠምጥሞ ነበር።

⁷ወደ ተራሮች መሠረት ወረድሁ፤ በምድርና በመወርወሪያዎችዋ ለዘላለም ተዘጋሁ፤ አንተ ግን፥ አቤቱ አምላኬ፥ ሕይወቴን ከጕድጓዱ አወጣህ።

⁸ነፍሴ በዛለችብኝ ጊዜ እግዚአብሔርን አሰብሁት፤ ጸሎቴም ወደ አንተ ወደ ቅዱስ መቅደስህ ገባች።

⁹ከንቱነትንና ሐሰትን የሚጠብቁ ምሕረታቸውን ትተዋል።

¹⁰እኔ ግን በምስጋና ቃል እሠዋልሃለሁ፤ የተሳልሁትንም እከፍላለሁ። ደኅንነት ከእግዚአብሔር ዘንድ ነው።

EnglishJonah 2

¹From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord his God.

²He said: “In my distress I called to the Lord, and he answered me. From deep in the realm of the dead I called for help, and you listened to my cry.

³You hurled me into the depths, into the very heart of the seas, and the currents swirled about me; all your waves and breakers swept over me.

⁴I said, ‘I have been banished from your sight; yet I will look again toward your holy temple.’

⁵The engulfing waters threatened me, the deep surrounded me; seaweed was wrapped around my head.

⁶To the roots of the mountains I sank down; the earth beneath barred me in forever. But you, Lord my God, brought my life up from the pit.

⁷“When my life was ebbing away, I remembered you, Lord, and my prayer rose to you, to your holy temple.

⁸“Those who cling to worthless idols turn away from God’s love for them.

⁹But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the Lord.’”

¹⁰And the Lord commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.
