Tigrinyaመዝሙር ዳዊት 120

¹ብጸበባይ ናብ እግዚኣብሄር ኣእዌኹ፣ ንሱውን መለሰለይ።

²ዎ እግዚኣብሄር፣ ንነፍሰይ ካብ ሓሳዊት ከንፈር፣ ካብ ወስላታ መልሓስ ኣናግፋ።

³ኣቲ ወስላታ መልሓስ፣ እንታይ ኪህቡኺ፧ እንታይሲ ኺውስኹኺ እዮም፧

⁴ናይ ጅግና በላሕቲ ፍላጻ፣ ምስ ጓህሪ ሰራው።

⁵ወይለይ፣ ኣብ ሜሴክ እሰፍር፣ ኣብ ማእከል ድንኳናት ቄዳር እነብር ኣሎኹ።

⁶ነፍሰይ ምስቶም ሰላም ዚጸልኡ፣ ብዙሕ ጊዜ ነበረት።

⁷ኣነስ ሰላማዊ እየ፣ ንሳቶም ግና፣ እንተ ተዛረብኩ፣ ንውግእ ይስለፉ ኣለዉ።

¹በተጨነቅሁ ጊዜ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ጮኽሁ፥ ሰማኝም።

²ከዓመፀኛ ከንፈር ከሸንጋይም አንደበት፥ አቤቱ፥ ነፍሴን አድናት።

³ስለ ሽንገላ አንደበት ምንም ይሰጡሃል? ምንስ ይጨምሩልሃል?

⁴እንደ በረሃ እንጨት ፍም የኃያላን ፍላጾች የተሳሉ ናቸው።

⁵መኖሪያዬ የራቀ እኔ ወዮልኝ፤ በቄዳር ድንኳኖች አደርሁ።

⁶ሰላምን ከሚጠሉ ጋር ነፍሴ ብዙ ጊዜ ኖረች።

⁷እኔ ሰላማዊ ነኝ፤ በተናገኋቸው ጊዜ ግን በከንቱ ተሰለፉብኝ።

¹I call on the Lord in my distress, and he answers me.

²Save me, Lord, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

³What will he do to you, and what more besides, you deceitful tongue?

⁴He will punish you with a warrior’s sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom bush.

⁵Woe to me that I dwell in Meshek, that I live among the tents of Kedar!

⁶Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

⁷I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.
