Tigrinyaመዝሙር ዳዊት 127

¹እግዚኣብሄር ንቤት እንተ ዘይሀነጻ፣ ሃነጽቲ ንኸንቱ ይጽዕሩ። እግዚኣብሄር ንኸተማ እንተ ዘይሐለዋ፣ ሓላዊ ንኸንቱ ይነቅሕ።

²ኣንጊህኩም ምትንሳእኩም፣ ኣምሲኹም ምድቃስኩም፣ እንጌራ ጻዕሪ ምብላዕኩም ከንቱ እዩ፣ እዝስ ንፍቁራቱ ደቂሶም ከለዉ ይህቦም እዩ።

³እንሆ፣ ውሉድ ውህበት እግዚኣብሄር እዮም። ፍረ ኸርሲ ኸኣ ዓስቢ እዩ።

⁴ከምቲ ኣብ ኢድ ጅግና ዘሎ ፍላጻ፣ ውሉድ ንእስነት ከምኡ እዮም።

⁵ጕልድባኡ ብእኦም ዝመልኤ ሰብኣይ ብጹእ እዩ፣ ኣብ ደገ ምስ ጸላእቲ እንተ ተዛረቡ፣ ኣይሐፍሩን እዮም።

Amharicመዝሙረ ዳዊት 127

¹እግዚአብሔር ቤትን ካልሠራ፥ ሠራተኞች በከንቱ ይደክማሉ፤ እግዚአብሔር ከተማን ካልጠበቀ፥ ጠባቂ በከንቱ ይተጋል።

²በማለዳ መገሥገሣችሁም ከንቱ ነው። ለወዳጆቹ እንቅልፍን በሰጠ ጊዜ፥ እናንተ የመከራን እንጀራ የምትበሉ፥ ከተቀመጣችሁበት ተነሡ።

³እነሆ፥ ልጆች የእግዚአብሔር ስጦታ ናቸው፥ የሆድም ፍሬ የእርሱ ዋጋ ነው።

⁴በኃያል እጅ እንዳሉ ፍላጾች፥ የጐልማስነት ልጆች እንዲሁ ናቸው።

⁵ከእነርሱ ዘንድ ምኞቱን የሚፈጽም ብፁዕ ሰው ነው፤ ጠላቶቻቸውን በአደባባይ በተናገሩ ጊዜ እርሱ አያፍርም።

¹Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.

²In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.

³Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him.

⁴Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth.

⁵Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
