¹ዎ እግዚኣብሄር፣ ጐይታና፣ ኣታ ንግርማኻ ኣብ ሰማያት ዝተኸልካዮ፣ ስምካስ ኰን ኣብ ኵላ ምድሪ ኽንደይ ግሩም እዩ።

²ምእንቲ ተቓወምትኻ ነቲ ጸላእን ፈዳይ ሕነን ስቕ ከተብሎ፣ ካብ ኣፍ ቈልዑን ዚጠብውን ሓይሊ ኣዳሎኻ።

³ንሰማያትካ፣ ነቲ ስራሕ ኣጻብዕካ፣ ንስኻ ዘቘምካዮም፣ ወርሕን ከዋኽብትን እንተ ጠመትኩ፣

⁴እቲ ንስኻ እትዝክሮ ሰብ፣ እቲ እትሐልየሉ ወዲ ሰብሲ እንታይ እዩ፧

⁵ካብ መላእኽቲ ቕሩብ ኣንኣስካዮ፣ ብኽብርን ጌጽን ከኣ ኸለልካዮ።

⁶ኣብ ልዕሊ ግብሪ ኣእዳውካ ሸምካዮ፣ ንዅሉ ኣብ ትሕቲ ኣእጋሩ ጌርካዮ፣

⁷ንብዘለዋ ዅላተን ኣባጊዕን ኣሓን፣ ንእንስሳታት በረኻውን

⁸ነዕዋፍ ሰማይን ንዓሳታት ባሕርን ነቲ ብመገድታት ባሕሪ ዚሐልፍ ዘበለን።

⁹ዎ እግዚኣብሄር ጐይታና፣ ስምካስ ኰን ኣብ ኵላ ምድሪ ኽንደይ ግሩም እዩ።

Amharicመዝሙረ ዳዊት 8

¹አቤቱ ጌታችን፥ ስምህ በምድር ሁሉ እጅግ ተመሰገነ፥ ምስጋናህ በሰማዮች ላይ ከፍ ከፍ ብሎአልና።

²ከሕፃናትና ከሚጠቡ ልጆች አፍ ምስጋናን አዘጋጀህ ስለ ጠላትህ፥ ጠላትንና ቂመኛን ለማጥፋት።

³የጣቶችህን ሥራ ሰማዮችን ባየሁ ጊዜ፥ ጨረቃንና ከዋክብትን አንተ የሠራሃቸውን፥

⁴ታስበው ዘንድ ሰው ምንድር ነው? ትጐበኘውም ዘንድ የሰው ልጅ ምንድር ነው?

⁵ከመላእክት እጅግ ጥቂት አሳነስኸው፤ በክብርና በምስጋና ዘውድ ከለልኸው።

⁶በእጆችህም ሥራ ሁሉ ላይ ሾምኸው፤ ሁሉን ከእግሮቹ በታች አስገዛህለት፥

⁷በጎችንም ላሞችንም ሁሉ ደግሞም የምድረ በዳውን እንስሶች፥

⁸የሰማይንም ወፎች የባሕርንም ዓሦች፥ በባሕር መንገድ የሚሄደውንም ሁሉ።

⁹አቤቱ ጌታችን፥ ስምህ በምድር ሁሉ እጅግ ተመሰገነ።

EnglishPsalms 8

¹Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens.

²Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.

³When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

⁴what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

⁵You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor.

⁶You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:

⁷all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild,

⁸the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas.

⁹Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
